Non Point Source Pollution is the single largest cause of
water pollution. When it rains, the water flows to the lowest
point from where it hits the ground. The movement of the
water toward the low point is usually the nearest storm water
drain. The flow of water picks up many different types of
pollutants on its way to the storm drain and unfortunately
there is usually a river, lake, or even an ocean that becomes
the discharge point for the Non Point Source Pollution
containing dangerously high levels of bacteria.

The "Storm Drain Defender" is the first patented Reusable
insert of its kind. The insert is designed exclusivly to allow
rain water to pass directly through, but also for catches and
holds diluted oils, solvents, and other non-water based
chemicals efore entering the inlet pipe.
The "Defender's hydrophobic properties allows the water
to flow freely through the insert without further impeding the
flow rate. Another unique quality of the Storm Water Defender
is that it is an inexpensive and effective way to minimize

a Best Management Practice for Water Run-off and

The insert is reusable and snaps directly to the storm
grate with heavy stainless steel fittings. The Defender
is always in place making the frantic problem of protecting
the Storm Drains from the flow of the polluted water during
a quick unexpected thunder shower; a non-problem. The
defender is also able to capture silt, diluted fecal matter
and suspended solids.
